Amy Atwater

Amy Atwater is a paleontologist, author, and science communicator based in Colorado. She is the Director of Paleontology at Dinosaur Ridge, one of the world’s most iconic fossil sites, and the President-Elect of the Colorado Scientific Society.

Amy is passionate about making science accessible and engaging, especially for young learners. Her debut children’s book, The Fossil Keeper’s Treasure, invites readers to explore the excitement of fossil hunting and prehistoric life. Through public outreach, storytelling, and social media (@mary_annings_revenge), Amy shares her love of ancient life with audiences of all ages.
